After a career in adult education and administration, I took up watercolor again and have taken many painting courses since 1997 with Peter Huntoon, Peter Granucci, Bill Lambert and completed many workshops

The works above are original watercolors by Vermont artist, Nancy Lent Lanoue.
I grew up in South Strafford, Vermont, a timeless village surrounded by gentle hollows and wooded hillsides. My first art teacher was my father, abstract artist, Harlow Lent. I have been surrounded by nature most of my life, including the rugged island of Monhegan Island, Maine. My work is profoundly influenced by these two locations. I am fascinated by the changing seasons, and the surprising color and design combinations within our rural surroundings.
